Why is my Word file empty?
The PDF may be scanned (image-only) with no text layer. Try the Image Pages mode instead, which always works.
Will the formatting be preserved?
Text, headings, and paragraphs are preserved. Complex tables, multi-column layouts, and decorative fonts may not transfer perfectly — this is a limitation of all PDF-to-Word tools.
What is the file size limit?
Maximum 25 MB per file, up to 30 pages for server conversion.

My Excel file is empty. Why?
The PDF likely has no text layer (scanned document). The tool extracts data from text-based PDFs only. Scanned PDFs need OCR first — use our PDF OCR tool, copy the text, then paste into Excel.
The table layout in Excel looks wrong.
PDF tables don't have a universal structure. Switch between Table Mode and Text Mode to see which gives better results for your specific PDF.

What languages does OCR support?
The server-side OCR (Google Cloud Vision) supports 100+ languages automatically. The browser fallback (Tesseract.js) defaults to English.
OCR text is jumbled or has errors.
OCR accuracy depends on scan quality. High-resolution, well-lit scans produce better results. Handwritten text is harder to recognize than printed text.

How much will my PDF shrink?
Depends on the content. PDFs with many high-resolution images shrink dramatically (50-80%). PDFs that are mostly text won't shrink much since text is already compact.

JPG vs PNG — which should I use?
JPG is better for photos (smaller size, lossy). PNG is better for graphics, logos, screenshots that need transparency or sharp edges (larger size, lossless).
Does converting JPG to PNG improve quality?
No. Once a JPG is compressed, that quality loss is permanent. Converting to PNG just changes the container — it won't recover lost detail.

How many AI requests can I make per day?
AI tools are limited to 3 uses per day per user (by IP) to keep the service free for everyone. Non-AI tools have a higher daily limit of 30 uses.
Is my text sent to a server?
Yes — AI tools send your text to Google Gemini via our secure Cloud Run function. No data is stored. PDF and image tools that don't use AI run entirely in your browser.

Do you store my uploaded files?
No. Browser-based tools (image tools, text tools, most calculators) process everything locally — your files never leave your device. Server tools (PDF conversion, OCR, AI) process files in memory and do not store them after the response is sent.
Is iHaveAll free?
Yes, completely free. The site is supported by Google AdSense advertising which helps cover server costs.
Why do some tools need internet and others don't?
Tools like PDF-to-Word, PDF OCR, and AI tools run on our Google Cloud server because they need Python libraries not available in a browser. All other tools (image converters, calculators, text tools) run 100% in your browser with no internet needed after the page loads.
What browsers are supported?
All modern browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari. For best experience, use the latest version. Older browsers (IE11) are not supported.
A tool isn't working. What should I do?
1) Try a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R). 2) Check your file meets the size limit (25 MB for PDF tools). 3) Try a different browser. 4) If the issue persists, contact us at the link below.
